MTNL Broadband: ADSL light on, but no internet connectivity

Some one has to do something. I am getting frustrated:frown:

Are you facing troubles while in bridged mode too ?

Did you try contacting 1504 again ? What do they have to say now as the latest excuse ?

Why not all of us send separate emails to the ED MTNL Mumbai with cc to TRAI & MD MTNL. :D
 
Hope we are not infected by the Conficker or any other virus which is causing all this hell over the last 2 months. I had scanned my PC, didn't find any other virus but not sure about Conficker. Have to look at the ways on the web to scan for Conficker on my PC.
 
@socrates. Today, i just tried to shift to the normal mode in order to test my net. Lolz, i cant browse freely. No problems at all.

In Bridged mode , i am facing problem of disconnection after few minutes though the connection is on. Then unusual things happen in my pc, my windows theme gets changed to Windows classic theme and comes back again lol. I have to restart my system so that i can gain access to net again.
If i let it remain idle for 15 min or so. It thus remains the same, I can't disconnect or connect, neither can i disable my connection. I have to restart in order to access my net.:@

Does any one face these problems in normal mode.

1. When one uses this option "Save and Reboot". Your modem reboots without going to the 2nd stage.

2. This the 2nd stage wherein you should be transferred to the below page.

3. In Normal mode, the 2nd stage is skipped and this page appears.

4. And at last you get this error on your task bar

That was one of the reasons I didn't shift to bridge mode (apart from using WiFi) when the D-Link helpdesk asked me to shift to bridge mode it didnt help in solving the problem but that day I was lucky to restore my modem to PPPoE without too much problem, but I dont want to try that stunt again when this problem is going on :)

That was one of the first things I look at is too see if its a problem on my side which I can solve :). In my case its confirmed that the problem is at the MTNL end.
 
@socrates. You are mistaken. These screenshots are not from bridged mode. These are from the normal mode.

@Socrates. I'm ready. We have to make them aware of problems what we are facing in@Socrates. List out the mail ids as well
 
hey guys... why don't you all just go to the MTNL office and get your modem replaced... for how long will you be cheated like this.. I had these same April issues.. got the 502T replaced with a UT300R2U (second hand)... and its working just fine..and one more thing.. MTNL does not give new modems as replacements.. But one of my friend was facing the same problem with his 502T. His dad went to the MTNL office and demanded and got a NEW Sterlite modem!!!! So i would suggest you all to go out and try the same..
 
Well guys when will these April Problems will end?? Never ever suffered such problems ever with MTNL since I started using it from May 2005. Internet doesn't works during morning and afternoon but in the evening and during night (NU Period) everything works great. It seems MTNL's has got clogged up with too many users during the day (mainly corporates). MTNL needs to upgrade its network to provide higher bandwidth through Fiber-Optic.Does any one has the number of any higher authorities in MTNL like CMD or any one, these problems needs to be told to them through phone rather than a simple E-mail.And by changing the router wont help. D-Link stuffs work great. Having a D-Link 56K modem which is 9 yr old but still works.
