I've read about IPTV was Triple Play. That means if you have all three services from Mtnl i.e. the Phone,Broadband and IPTV then you can avail some very nice features...
[/b]
Ever thought if there was a line problem with the ONE company then you have
- No Phone
- No Internet
- No TV

Remind me again..

WHY this is such a good idea for the consumer instead of the provider ?

As opposed to the 3 from different, preferably best of breed in their domain. Actually forget best of breed, just the added redundnacy from 3 avg providers.

I don't care if there are 3 bills unless there is a signifcant saving to be made going with just the one.

All accounts to date show this won't be the case.

^^^agree with u completely and that sounds scary. :(No Phone, no Internet and No TV, back to the stone age, all if there is a problem with one company and we all know the service of MTNL.... :(

lol that will give us time to do some outdoor stuffs

Assuming it isn't raining or too bloody hot outside.

Where did i put my books ...hmmm

THe other disadvanatage is once you told your faithful cable, tv, internet fellows to push off. You lock yourself into just one provider. If ever you are tired of it in the future, then you will pay dearly to get the old guys back, so you are trapped in a sense. Maybe the other big fish will do the same, given the get-rich-quick incentive, then better hope they are also available in your area.

All Triple play does is make much more money for the provider even faster.

Nope Bharti is working with UTStarcom not Mtnl. Mtnls working with IOL which provides STBs from Softier.

Any idea about the tarrifs?
[/b]

MTNL has entered into a strategic tie-up with IOL Broadband and would provide the services at Rs. 199 a month.
