from speedtest.net i am getting 400 kbps from singapore
also my adsl router page shows 1750 kbps downstream

can u tell me wots ur adsl status page shows?

kahaan yaar...called at the number santu gave.they told me it would be done in half an hour.called again after 1 hour they said we have ur no. and it wud be done.
mr potter got it done from the same no.the number you gave is either
engaged for me or nobody picks up the phone.

I was busy with college this week so didn't try any phone number. Its a shame that its 11th of the month and MTNL doesn't care, you have to keep calling GMs and DGMs and who not just to get the speed increased.It seems to me that the way things have been worsening at MTNL, the day is not far when you would need to call MTNL GM just to get your prepaid MTNL recharged....Future MTNL customer: Sir 300 ka recharge karvaya tha kal, abhi tha talktime add nahin hua hai.GM: Accha, number batayo, karvate hain, parson subah ho jayega, kal janmashtmi hai.Customer: Sir lekin mujhe phone urgent chahiye.GM: Karvate hain kuchCutomer(2 days later): Sir do din pehle appse baat kari thi, abhi tak balance add nahin hua.GM: Kaafi logon ki problem hai theek kar rahein hain sabka...............An this goes on on, till the customer shifts to some other service.
