Also Neo Sports Plus does have a lot of sports coverage and I am a mad sports fan.. Thats why I want it.[/b]
You are getting confused with this apparent all round sport coverage of Neo sports plus. The channel basically is going to have a lot of interactive cricket centric shows and the other sports covered will only be in the form of news. All the telecast rights of popular sports are already owned by ESPNSTAR ,Ten sports and zee sports so it's pretty much saturated i guess.Besides nimbus have paid massive cosh for the cricket rights so it would be difficult for them to buy rights of other sports telecasts. In addition to that Ten sports and Zee sports will merge in 2008 so they are going to be a strong force as well.

I just want ESPNSTAR to launch a football centric channel which would be like a dream. It makes sense to do so as well coz football's popularity in asia has reached insane levels and there is more scope for improvement. EPL's coverage is incredible but more matches of la liga need to be shown. Add to that list German Bundesliga , Seria A , french league , dutch league etc.

"Football is my religion , Arsenal is my temple and Robert Pires is my GOD"

Yeah me too. It was so frustrating to watch Harsha Bhogle and team go on and on discussing the Test series loss while we were missing the FA cup Liverpool vs. Arsenal pre-show. ESPN-STAR gave priority to the cricket match post show and switched to the FA cup just before kick-off
Makes me wonder if their programming director is misjudging the amount of football fans in India compared to cricket fans.
Can't wait to get something like Sky Sports HD and Prem Plus. They actually have simultaneous broadcast of all 8 Champions League matches (first round) on a single channel. Right now we're stuck with Ten Sports UCL coverage on a single channel, at least ESPN-STAR could show 2 matches simultaneously on their channels :(

good think michael is retired. i dont have anything to watch on espn star now. they ruined my f1 with so many ads. . .

Nice to see football buffs in here. :)

kreacher , football has a crazy following but it is concentrated mostly in the metros and Goa. Whereas when it's a cricket match almost the entire nation is watching it.So comparatively football viewership is very low and it makes no sense to prefer football over cricket.Football's popularity is increasing but it can't match cricket over here.

As for the simultaneous broadcast i agree that it is frustrating to have only a single CL match available on tensports but they have made available all the matches LIVE on the internet but you need a fast internet connection for that which is not possible in india right now. :( This is where DTH can help us i believe. Tensports can make available atleast the live telecast matches of all big clubs with the user having an option to choose like it is in the U.K but then again bandwidth availability for DTH operators would be a problem.

Mine is Cesc Fabregas...I am also a mad football buff and I support Arsenal! Arsneal vs Liverpool was a great game. Maybe they can launch active sports for soccer where you can choose what match you want. That would be sweet!I heard that on Neo Sports Plus.. they show German Bundesliga, Portugesse Ligue and Seria A and maybe a few more...Thats why I want it,,

Well, its a big blow for Ferrari/Schumacher fans like me. I'll see how Kimi does in 2007 before deciding to give up on F1.
Hopefully the EPL season will end with some excitement and that will tide me over till the F1 starts.

Robert Pires is my all time favourite player and i was gutted when he left Arsenal for villareal as i wanted him to retire at arsenal. Now we have Tomas Rosicky another smashing player who i hope will carry on the legacy of Pires. :D
