I just want to understand how the OLT and ONT register in the network, what is used by the ISP and which login data? I don't have a user name and password. What is the ISP used to unlock my internet?

I would like to write a script later that only uses the data without all the nat web interface / firewall stuff, for a bridge mode according to Openwrt router

Yes it is the same Chinese OEM they are called differently but they are all the same

So at least from your screenshot, it doesn't look like you have any authentication at the ONT-OLT level, ie any compatible ONT attached to your fibre link should be able to register with the OLT.

However in some deployments, the OLT would require authentication with the OLT, in which case the serial number of the ONT and/or a password is used.

Regarding, what the ISP could be using to provide internet access, it could be your WAN side MAC address. I use Spectra in Bangalore and they make use of the MAC address, if you change the MAC address you need to authenticate (through a captive portal kind of thing) with your Spectra creds to associate that MAC address with your account.

Do you mean you just want to bridge the connection? What happens when you do that now? Does it not work at all? What are the steps you have tried so far?

I got it for 3.2k after applying some coupons on AliExpress. Still on the way.

@varkey I cancelled my order after ~2 Months because of no shipping updates. The seller asked me to wait 2-3 times. But I felt it like a scam. So moved got a refund after a few more days. Again I checked with the seller from which you have bought and they hiked the prices to 4k+. I don't feel good in paying that much money for it. So ended up cancelling the plan to upgraded router whole together for now.

btw did you pay any customs?

Also, the piece that you got is a new/refurbished one?

I see. The tracking number still doesn't work? Did it leave China or showed no movement in China either?

New unit, it was opened by customs though. The seller put the declared value same as the total amount in the listing some 47 USD (even before discount ) so ended up paying duty at 42% or so. Total Rs 1450. Normally sellers put a lower amount so I missed asking the seller to lower the declared value.

So the total cost came to Rs 4500 or so (3k on AliExpress and 1.5k as duty)

Yeah already done. Installed OpenWRT. Default firmware is in Chinese.

Hey, I followed the steps mentioned in the post, but I'm unable to connect my TP-Link Archer C6 AC1200 with Syrotech ONT given by BSNL.
I enabled bridge mode in Syrotech ONT and used PPPoE username and password in TP-Link but it says connection failed.
Can someone help?

@koshik Enable logging in your router, reboot. Let it fail. Export the log.

That's the easiest way to debug, I also fixed such issues with the log.
