Ntsc Format Programming On Zee Dish TV DTH

I have tried all IPTV, Cable setup box, few DTH and nothing works on US bought NTSC TV.I have Atlona convertor but not happy with conversion and looking for direct STB solutionsThe dish 60i seems to be interesting, has anyone tried this?.

I have not purchased Dish HD STB yet. It seems that , just like NTSC(US) and PAL(EU) are analog standards , ATSC(US) and DVB-T(EU) are digital standards. So, it may not be just the screen refresh rate.

Although the modulation technique is different for both , ATSC atleast is compliant to 50Hz as well. Does any of your TV specification says " ATSC (8VSB terrestrial ) : ATSC compliant " ?
My Sony bravia is compliant only to ATSC 8VSB compliant.

yes agree , NTSC though reffered as general standard

NTSC: American TV standard
ATSC(8 VSB Terrestrial,) ATSC compliant VSB
QAM on cable

Your specs matches with my TV also. So, you tried Dish Tru HD STB with the HDMI setting 1920x1080i@60Hz and it did not work right ?

Mine is KDL-40W3000, no i haven't tried Dish tru HD connection?that whas my question if anyone tried it?

I got the convertor and it works like charm with Tata Sky ,2HD channel.

good for you, which convertor? model ?How does the non HD channles scale up? does the picture quality looks good or similar to PAl TV?

It doesn't have any model# ,input is Svideo , AV and HDMI out put only HDMI( don't the make and model as it works i didn't bother :smile: . Non HD channels are good that too all english channels are crisp and clear compared to south channels. HD channels are really amazing and very crisp.
