pc cpu overload

i had my pc in standby mode and when i woke it up , for no reason it cpu was over loading and internet explorer was culprit ? what can i do to prevent it? has happened twice today

looks fine. Explorer uses the remaining CPU power when in idle mode. :)

Nope. It's not normal.
Try reseting Internet Explorer (Internet Explorer Options - Advanced - Reset). If the problem still persists, try scanning your PC for possible virus/malware infections.

open your eyes , usage was constantly 100% , and pc was not responding properly , you cant even comment right even after proof right? :playful: :peaceful:

you didnt get it too.
i was not using ie at all , it was completely shut down already ,i do not know how a shut browser can consume so much cpu load
 


Just update ie to the latest. It might solve the problem. If you have more than one iexplore.exe or if you see iexplore when ie is not used, then It's a virus
 
check the DISK IO,show another screenshot, may be with resource monitor details for CPU+DISK
Also check if any toolbar on IE is doing baground activity.
