nothing has changed for me over the change hutch--vodafonerecharge,top-up,range,network,CC, everything is all sameso how is it you guyz say vodafone sucks?

I have earlier used Airtel, Aircel, BSNL, and Hutch. None of them except Airtel have provided a good network facility. I Changed from Airtel to Vodafone (only because of the name change from Hutch to Vodafone :p). But now I regret for choosing vodafone because their Network is not that good what they had been before. I am very Irritated when sometimes "Message Sending Fails" when I actually wanted to send SMS in case of any emergency. I had to resend it 5 or 6 times sometimes. :wall:and AFAIC yeah Vodafone s*cks

Reminds me of the Big Promises made by Ambanis when they said "Mere Baap ka Sapna, sapka Mobile Apna)

It should have been:

Dhirubhai ka sapna...sabka paise apna!

or

Mere Baap ka Sapna...sabka paise apna! :hysterical:

Hi all,I dont know if I am right or wrong, but I feel their biggest handicap is partnership with Ruias or the Essar Group. Maybe Hutch had a good partnership, but Vodafone surely wants to operate independently in India.Worldwide, Vodafone is known for innovative pricing etc which has made it a very powerful telecom brand. Essar is simply piggy backing on the brand name Vodafone, but the consumer tariff structure etc decision is of course jointly decided with their 33% partner Essar.Essar Group is one selfish group of businessmen, by not passing on any benefits to consumers, but simply extracting money from its subscribers, without passing on the real value to them in return.

So are you suggesting that essar group is run by marwaris.:p

Anyways I dont think that essar has anything to do with the Vodafone plans and that kind of things..

Yeah right. They are silent spectators to the business they have invested 1000s of crores in.

Everything related to the business is jointly decided by both partners, depending upon their agreement clauses etc. Neither of them cant be silent over something as sensitive as pricing structure or tariff structure.

Well another example is Hutch was always behind in introducing new schemes such as lifetime schemes. That being said, they were always the last to also halve the rate for the same schemes, in comparison to its competitor Airtel. This is common with Vodafone too, ever since it bought the Indian operations. Despite so many months of existence, Vodafone has not done anything significant for Indian consumers. The only thing which has changed are the ads minus the pug.

Latest example: There is a plan with Vodafone of Rs. 299 rental with outgoing @ 50 paise. Airtel has the same plan with Rs. 199 rental at the same outgoing rates. Yet till date, Vodafone has not reduced that plan rental.

And yeah regarding the marwari comment above, please can you refrain from passing such type of comments here or anywhere?

Marwari or no Marwari it is immaterial. The day Airtel or BPL or some other Private Operator announces a talkplan in Mumbai, Vodafone/Hutch will launch the same plan in less than 24 hrsI think Essar even with its 1000's of crores cant do anything infront of Market forces
