Reliance Big TV DTH Connection / Brochure Pictures Attached

BAD NEWS:
Today (in Ahmedabad), we had a rain since last night (1st rain of this season). Lightening, clouds and just a bit of heavy rain... BIG TV signals were keep losing off very frequently.

It was showing a following message:

SIGNAL LOST
Please, check your cable connections. If the problem persists, please call BIG TV Customer Care.

Check this out (you may not be able to read it but at least can see it)



There are other minor problems too. They might not be awared of it.

Today while navigating channel list, it was breaking off after a particular channel number (I tried to repeat it 3-4 times and same results all the time). Everytime when i restart a same procedure (of navigating channels from menu), when we scroll it down, that list which goes UP was actually even going out of it's small box!!!

Funny!!!

They might have hired incapable staff. They are not technically sound that can make a strong system (or even can TEST and FIND their own faults).

I am going to report this to CC and lets see what they say. I may demand to give me a newer STB (same as shown on a website).

About the signal loss during rain: I am not surprised, people were saying that Big TV is special in that during rain its signals do not weaken but as I knew that its not true, the signals will eventually weaken during rain, you might be lucky that sometimes during heavy rain nothing happens but thats very rare. I even tried to explain to few people here but as we know that on this forum technical speech is a BIG NO NO! So I didn't really bother
 
Actually its a general problem with any DTH all over the world (DTH has always a small dish and it has its own limitations) so in heavy rain it losses its signals but i am not talking about that HEAVY rain... we didnt actually had such a heavy rain that it can have signal loss.... it was just an ordinary rain (season's 1st usual rain - you know how it can be) and still it lost signals..
 
Overall functions have became slower (channel quick menu is moving up/down very slow - sometimes)Voice is the highest in some channels (such as 9XM, NDTV Imagine, Bindass, Zoom etc..) and very lowest for few of their channels (such as MTV, Sony etc...)They are either working on these or they still need to sort this out.

well thats what i have been saying from three months ,and i have pestered the CC many ,many times all they say is "sorry for the inconvinence caused sir","sorry for the inconvinence caused sir","sorry for the inconvinence caused sir" they dont say two much other then the above sentence,seriously dont know what kind of people would hire those kind of persons in the technical department.
 
Yep... very poor customer care. Doesnt impress at all. We dont feel that we are calling a BIG TV customer care and they know everything how to pamper customers! (Vodafone has the best CSR working with them).I think, they must oversee everything closely and must concentrate on customer service else they may not gain respect/business from most of the genuine indians.
 
All customer care system in india like indian news channels don't give any clear report keeping always suspence and irrittating answers.
 
Hello Guys, Its seems to be same when they launched Reliance Mobile.That time situation is worst.After a year they improve there quality.Finally what I mean to say they They are not like TATA service oriented industry. Abanies are pure businessmen.So we have to wait a lot For the better quality of BIGTV.....:(:(:(:(:( & finally :yahoo::thumbsup:.
