Engineer arrived (only after i called again at local bigtv office). He was technically very sound, decent but very smart to ignore customers. I then shown him lots of problems and fortunately "slow process" problem occurred when he was testing otherwise he was not at all ready to believe that these testing phase STBs are faulty. He was keep arguing, "they are all good and no need to change". At last, he gave me his personal number and said that you can call me anytime and i will send whoever is working nearby. I said what if a problem occurs at night? and he said, "you can call anytime in 24 hours. i will not come but i will believe whatever you will say during unreachable period. we are all working very hard these days as we are preparing for a launch on 15 Aug. Your STB will become slower at times for sure as they are keep upgrading something, so dont worry and keep using. It may not happen or it will create less problems after launch". Anyway, hope i dont face much problem before/after launch now!!!

Yeh, i have done all of them - everything.
from remote, fromt stb - everything. nothing happens as it just dont take any action because its not staying stable in any 1 state.

Constantly happening:
RED GREEN YELLOW
RED
GREEN
RED

... and Again (back to step1): RED GREEN YELLOW and so on... (as shown above)

I guess, STB must have a problem. Today morning they will be coming.

Lets see what they do! (I wish this time they change STB).

Yesterday when they came at my place, i asked again - "launch date?" and 1 of them said "15 August - 100%"

I hope, they replace these existing STB with a newer version 2.0 as shown on a website.

By the way, you must have got a user manual, right? (not a thin one, i have almost a 50 page manual)

it shows a picture of a new version2.0 STB and they also show 5 main menus (Guide, Select, Reminder, Settings - and 1 more, i forgotten)

I think they still have to do lots of work on it!!!

Anyway, lets wait n watch.

well yeah i got the quick start user guide and not the complete manual,so does the picture on 50 page manual match the one on the website.

Yeh, that 50 page user manual shows both ver 1.0 and ver 2.0 STB on it with explanation of front/rear functions. By the way, we have ver 1.0 STB and it doesnt have any volume controller on it. What if we want to inc/dec volume from STB? NO VOLUME CONTROLLER on it.Ver 2.0 STB has a volume up/down controller. We MUST get ver 2.0 STB after launch. After all, we too paid for everything and not just half of the features!!!

well the person who came to replace my stb told me that just give a complaint to the CC when the the new version of stb is out and he will replace it wilth new one.

Cool.... they have to change but i hope they change without asking any questions!(usually we have very bad laws and companies always try to cheat customers).I look forward to a good experience this time!

Its not gonna launch today on 15th Aug - I AM HAPPY.

Guys, they still have lots of things to sort out. Its good that they are not launching today and you're not going to suffer at the moment. They may launch only after they are sure about their quality, product and services.

Its gonna launch only after September.

Anyway, HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY ~
