Just called jio customer care..i asked them to disconnect the service and initiate refund process.he politely said,sir ham samajh rahe plans ko lekar aap log naaraz hain.we r seeing every reaction in social media.we will be updating the plans very shortly.till then we r not going to charge you...our team is working on it ...

So it seems that they have taken those negative comments seriously..and they r going to either update those plans or come up with new plans..till then he said we wont charge ....

Seems sensible..abhi bhi mauka hai sudhar jaye to baat ban jayegi.🤣🤣

This is expected. After spending so much Mota bhai can't afford to let Jio fibre be a failure. They miscalculated the needs of the people which they need to rectify asap now.
 
I request u guys plss call customer care and pretend them to refund ur money..they will be in pressure is more people do this..inko lagna chahiye ki inhone kya blunder kiya hai🤣🤣
 
In silver plan - the extra 200gb data will be available each month individually for every 6 month or collectively 200gb for all 6 months?

I doubt they will change them so soon. This is just a canned response to prevent disconnection requests. They might provide some introductory offer at best. These are well thought out plans.
 


People from tier 3 cities or small towns may still buy Jio because they have no other better option besides BSNL copper 10Mbps plans.
I believe they will give it a try , but after few months they will discontinue. I believe this because when you have a 100 mbps connection data consumption will be high. So more data will less speed will make sense , also the competitor will increase data caps if not speed.
 
Agree to some extent but after giving free internet for almost a year and half and at critical point where those free consumers were about to be milked, they can't just loose them. That would be just disaster in making. So i do believe they'll take some remedial measure very quickly for the time being. Later, once the market is all set, they can create the havoc again.

Moreover, it's not a sea change they need to bring. Just minute changes based on the consumer feedback and prevalent competition.

Edit : They have started extending the validity of plans on a per day basis. As per the last message, it is now extended for tomorrow till 1:30PM. It was extended from 5th to 6th Sep yesterday.
