Jio local staff is lazy af. My router had problems and they took 10 days to replace it, had to call them daily and everytime they said coming in a few hours. I can imagine they have the same attitude for mesh

Can anyone recommend good free wifi heat mapping application for android like InSSIDer by metageek. If anyone has used one, please advise.
Need to see if I really need mesh.

Also how can I change the channel frequency of jio fiber. ( several site suggest to change to less crowded frequently, does it help?)
You can do Ookla speed test on smartphone at different locations. Lower speeds at some spots indicate weaker wifi at those spots. Then check whether your application performance (Youtube, browsing) is acceptable there. When my Youtube was buffering too much, I pulled the trigger and bought mesh with good reviews for concrete penetration. It, Orbi, is still the best, but Google is supposed to be overall leader. Both damn costly, but we don't have good return policies, so can't experiment.

I am using TP-Link RE205 repeater with Jio Fiber. Works fine. Been using it since more than a year. Earlier on the 100mbps plan, the extended network (5GHz) would reach speed of around 50-60mbps. Now using the 30mbps plan, extended network gives full stable speed. I switch it on only when I need the extended coverage.

I have RE200
Don't expect more than 100 mbps
If you're fine with 100 mbps then go for it
P.S. i have 300mbps plan

So I have now officially given up on getting the jio mesh extender.
Came across TP-Link RE305 repeater. Is anyone using it alongwith jio fiber connection?
Same experience for me. Called a couple of sales guys and they all say take it from 3rd party.

So my question is what should I buy now? I only need range extension to my bedroom which is shielded by door + 1 wall and hence the Jio’s Wi-Fi range is very weak in the bedroom and keeps dropping.
Do I need a router like c6 archer , or should I just buy the re200 ? Even if I get 60 mbps stable speed in bedroom , it would be okay.

Got the RE450 for around Rs3,700 from Amazon. Not getting more than 40-45 mbps inside my bedroom. I guess these repeaters have a limitation for wall penetration
