this problem is limited to the UK edition of the phone. no one else has reported the problem. of course if it was a generic problem in android code. it would be available to everyone else as well.

What is it exactly? I saw it on their site that it was available for a particular Google handset only.

it allows you to pay using your mobile phone.

and no charges are not added to your phone bill.

instead, your credit cards are used.

had a talk to my friend... he said that december 17 is still the expected launch data for Galaxy nexus.
