if its for S4 , then Note 1 should have dropped to 22k now after note 2 , but still its on 27k

LG isnt a big player in mobile section in india

It could be due to manf cost , just like in ps3. again i may be wrong . But to say s3 is failure is something big , particularly based only on price drop.

Nexus 4 was never about LG , its about google and better pricing for best specs .

even the 13 month old Galaxy note price dropped only 7k from the original pricing in this 15 months

but S3 has dropped 8K in 7 months , why ?? because Nokia lumia is selling well ? or people prefer iPhone 5 over S3 ??
Because the fast pace of S3 sales meant that the number of people who were willing to pay the 32k or so price for the S3 was depleted much quicker.

Here's how it works, there are 'x' number of people who are willing to pay a price 'p1' for a phone, after those people make their decisions, the company reduces price to 'p2' (p2 < p1) so that there are more people whose willingness to pay for a phone is more than p2 and these people may now buy the phone and so on and so forth. Because the S3 pace of sales was high the initial x number depleted very quickly and therefore the only way the company was going to find newer buyers at a decent rate was to reduce price. this has nothing to do with the product itself.

u have a point there , make much profit in early stages and reduce the profit margin later .

S2 never had any major problem , Note never had any , am just talking about the higher end device

but S3 has it now that samsung is releasing a update to 'fix' it , this wouldnt have affected their sales ??

How many people would even be aware that there is something like a fix that is needed & is being given.

Yes , but problem is i dont want to flash new ROM every week , if at all there is some annoying bug. 160+ MB is really good size . But i think other Moded ROM based on CM would be much better choice , particularly i love the Stock Dialer , I used to installed eXDialer , but this one from samsung is really good

S3 had some quite bit of negative publicity due to this sudden death
those who are active over internet will know the so called 'fix' but will it fix it ?

s3 is a kinda hit/dud ..............but not a true masterpiece , it would have been amazing seller if it was better phone by samsung.for me its a kinda dud (kinda because it still got sold good) otherwise it would have been a super dud:Dspecially because it was designed for humans:rofl:

Leaving aside note 2, s3 is still one of the best in terms of hardware. We will never know the magnitude of the sudden death problem because we do not know the actual number of people with this problem. I don't understand why people who choose to buy one device over another need to criticize the other to justify their choice.

if talking in real terms and debating reality is criticizing...............let it be(its ur personal view not mine)reality is s3 was designed for humans .................others phone are not :hopelessness:
