Slow speeds on BSNL Broadband

Here is a update on the slow speed issue in Pune .
On conducting a speedtest test and selecting a pune server i get around 600Kbps . On selecting a Mumbai server i get around 3.5 Mbps . i am on a 4 Mbps plan .
BSNL helpdesk have no clue on whats going on .. Downloading and Usenet speeds are normal but torrents are slow as hell and i get only 50 Kbps for heavily seeded torrents .
This definately is a issue on the BSNL end .

Don't even bother selecting the Pune server. It's hosted by airtel and BSNL's route to it is not direct.
If you're getting 3.5 Mbps on Mumbai server, then then your line is good.
Have you forwarded the port(s) for uTorrent? Is it showing a yellow exclamation mark?

Yes .. the ports are forwarded . I have also tried switching between pppoe and bridged mode , but still the same issue ..it was working fine a few days back , then we had a outage for a whole day and its messed up after that .. International pings are horrible ..ping to google takes 450 ms . since usenet downloading speed is fine i assumed it was either a routing and a network latency issue .
but why torrents would require routing is beyond me ..

Unacceptable. There's some issue either in your line or at the exchange. Contact the honchos.

guys, i'm having the same problem that we had in february, since last night, only Indian web sites are working and foriegn sites are taking forever to load....
anybody else facing this issue...

xbox.com was loading extremely slow for me. otherwise it feels ok.

called customer care and they said they know about the issue and they are working on it, but they can't say when will it be fixed....

i am having similar problem.slow speed.constant link problems.and now my speed has doubled........

Now Today Their speed is slow at all Europe servers
There is always a 2 times+ Trips daily but no trips in the night from 12am +
Bsnl Just cannot give Quality Continues Internet Like Europe
This really make me sick for us europe is most Inportant than other server when downloading through filehosts

My point They cannot give Quality Internet Anymore this started all from March 2013 Except in the night it's Standard Internet
Not to be Rude at bsnl they are still the best in what India Offers

So the problem started again as except a very few sites none of the sites are loading.And those that are loading are lagging.
