So @Nishant recently mentioned this one as he has been progressively replacing all fans at his place with these units.

Ceiling fans - Save with super efficient ceiling fans - Superfan

I am considering getting one for trial before I can decide on whether to start replacing all the fans progressively as well.

Opinions?

There are four models. Need to look into difference between them. The top end model has a remote which removes the need for a regulator so that sounds cool.

Great thing is that it is also available on Flipkart and other stores these days.

I dont really understand the need for the led light to remain ON, when fan is actually turned off by a remote.
Defeats the motive of the OFF button on remote. Coz since light remains on, and i dont like it, i am compelled to get off my chair to switch it off on electricity board.

Sad, these super people did not thought of having a button on remote to turn the light off.

Upon seeing a few videos on youtube, I suggest that you take a black sketch and black out the "S" logo leaving just a small circle for IR blaster and try turning it on. If it doesn't work, keep on increasing the circle little by little till the IR blaster is able to control the fan.

And superfan is costly. You guys seeing any significant power saving? I should replace 2 fans in my home. These look decent
