So with mods permission hoping to get this into a mega thread as more and more ppl join the bandwagon. Info today on the subject though available but is scattered in between, takes time days to get all this together, still chances of things slipping.
Hence the IDEA! is to jot down aka compile aka talk straight et al on just the imp pointers here and the ongoing development on OpenWrt with C6 v2 EU edition.
Hope this journey goes long......
Day1 -
Got mine after a prolonged call yesterday. It took a good few hours today to get it to map settings on the older modded Netgear which has been supporting me for good 'ol 7 years now.
Had a quick shocker while playing, as space is too low (3mb left for addon software) to add wannbe stuff, so starting small and will optimise as we go along.
tftp went smooth on win, though had issues when on trying on manjaro
first config broke the install so had to reset, which i was able to after two/three tries.
second try is what is now live and serving everyone at home. am not going to fiddle for next two day..(hopefully!)
5ghz is good, maybe over time needs to be monitored to notice the common feedback on drops/freezing.
currently just the adblock, ddns, firewall up and running. dnsmasq is not working as expected.
