what a rip off. might have made sense if they were carrying something like 50 HD channels. And the best part is the idotic logic."Price protection if we add HD channels." ::Facepalm::Yeah right. If they move to 22 HD. I am pretty sure that they will end up increasing the "HD Access Fee" to 200 bucks. They can do only as much with channel packs, considering they have gone into that genre way on that.
Does this mean HD channels will never be available A la carte basis? Does not that violate TRAI rule of allowing customers to chose what they want to watch?
Look like a push from TS to buy whole package instead of choosing a la carte HD channel.. smart on their part, may be it will fall flat on their faces in the long run.
Hmm m in dilemma now should I go for Tata Sky HD or Videoco HDReally 5.1 or 7.1 dont really mattersWhat matter is monthly costCan any1 suggest which is cheap among them?
dude.. videocon is cheaper. hands down.In TS to get all 11 you will end up paying something like 510 pm (Grand Sports Pack + HD Access Fee). One time cost is 6480In D2h to get 22 HD you end up paying 442 pm (Platinum HD pack). One time cost is ~ 4500But there is a catch. I believe videocon is out of the DVR boxes. Their website has also taken down the details for the DVR box. The one-time costs mentioned above are considering the DVR box. And of course: VoD and 5.1/7.1 sound is only available on TS.Also (this is my personal opinion) i feel the videocon box is in general a little clunky as compared to the TS on plain performance and handling.
