Tata Sky DTH Querry

I need some inputs on how dth works.I could call up anyone with fairly sound technical knowledge.My questions would pertain to the "active -" bit on Tata Sky

Apologies for being vague. I have tonnes of sports content and data that id like to bring on to the dth platform.For example : If you are watching an F1 race and suddenly want to dig into some driver/team/track info - id like to be able to give you the option of using your remote to take you to a screen that gives you all of this.My questions - 1. How can i power in all this data?2. Will i need to push all of this into an FTP server like on the web? or does it work differently.3. Any other inputs on this front?Thanks.

Sounds like you need to get in touch with the medium here - the DTH company. They will try to get it from you for free, or may be for a minimal charge. This stuff that you mention, was earlier available for a few days on Tata Sky, as an 'Actve' service, though only for cricket.

Hi chasingcheese,Its fascinating that you have that much of data, and you want to share it with others. But DTH is not FTP, it is much more than that. If you really want to share it, why dont you launch your website!!!!Assuming that you know a bit of DTH : Assigning this kind of data to a data channel [technically known as PAD] needs to be programmed before going on-air , i.e. Live.For that, you need to talk to a DTH provider.One Tip here : If you are good at something, dont do it for free.- Chao
