Thank you for pics.... looks like, i will be upgrading soon too

amohan,
have you discovered anything new about the box? I'm especially interested in getting the files out and in to my PC. Wanted to plug the box to my PC via USB and see if I could peek into the HDD but realised it's USB Type A at both ends and I have no such cord (dunno even if that's possible).

If anyone discovers any undocumented info please post here.

have anyone noticed that the volume level of Tata Sky has gone down considerably than the older STB?

Hmm if anyone's interested, i am able to view TS connected via component in 576i

same here, my television mentions it the moment i switch it n TS+ on :)

A Digital setup without HDMI would be very dissapointing.
It would be a shame to send digital signal 20,000 miles then at the last 3 ft trasmit it analog.

HDMI is all digital and ensures digital from end to end.

I am using sever HD source: Blu Ray, PS3, Xbox360 ,Apple TV all have HDMI and I route it thru a HDMI switch to my HDTV.
HDMI carries both audio and vid so you have fewer cables.

no it does nto have HDMI output. it has an optical audio out, if dat helps u in any way to connect to surround sound systems. also it has a USB in, but thats locked as of now. maybe a software update in the near future will unlock it...
