Early this month, Bharti reported its 10th-straight quarter of decline in its profit as cut-throat competition squeezed margins sending its shares to their lowest level in two years. It reported a sharp lower-than-expected net profit of Rs 762 crore in the April-June quarter-a drop of 37 per cent from the same period in the last fiscal. Bharti had a net debt of $12 billion (Rs 67,200 crore) as of June.
Even I am fed up with this Airtel FUP. 256kbps is useless. I have to pay 749+taxes for 5GB high speed data at Salt Lake, Kolkata. Looks like I have to change to BSNL. But for a new BSNL connection I have to pay Rs. 500. Don't know what to do
Just called Airtel phone support - again - to upgrade from 4mbps plan to 16 mbps plan for 2 lines in my office. As on today 16 mbps plan is NOT available anywhere in north, west or central Delhi. I was told that they are upgrading their network and to check back in a few months time.
Airtel's new plans in Bangalore - advertised in newspaper inserts:
Still crappy, but less crappier. Now we at least get 512k after FUP.
They told me they cannot provide for my location....I am between the two prime residential area Koramangala and HSR Layout. They have even stuck posters and banners on trees and roadside poles. Probably they are targeting new customers from other ISPs with the high speed plans while they continue to suck the blood of us exsiting customers.
