Things lacking in Reliance Big TV

I was using Tata Sky DTH for 2 years until we had to shift our house to a new place. The experience was quite good notwithstanding the costly packages. So after shifting we decided to take Reliance BIG TV as it was comparatively cheaper than others. Never knew it would come with a bundle of BIG problems with it. I will try to list some of the things that need to be improved.1. The Customer Care is BS. They are themselves confused and if you call them they will end up confusing you even more about the packages. 2. You need to go through a VERY LONG procedure to get a channel that you want. Unlike Tata sky where you just send a few SMS'es and you are ready to go. 3. It takes AGES for the channel to get activated. In my case I had to wait ONE DAY. Tata sky channels are activated in mere seconds of sending an SMS.4. The response time of the STB to the remote IR signal is very high. This alone is enough to ruin your experience of watching Television. I don't even feel like watching TV.5. You CANNOT add your favourite channels so that you can access them quickly. It has a TOP 10 Channels list and they get added automatically depending on how much time you view a channel. The flaw with this is that a) 10 channels are never enough for a family. Tata sky had around 20 or so. b) You still need to smash the remote buttons 4-5 times to access your channels.6. The movie channels are not included in the main channel list. You need to press a separate button to watch Star movies/HBO/Set Max/etc. I really hope someone takes note and tries to fix these issues. So i again learn for the billionth time that if something is too good to be true, it probably is.

hehe ok. but considering you moved to a new place, did you check out the local cable guy in that area? maybe he is a better option? the cable guy in my society has a decent reputation. if i did not have the iptv connection, i might have taken his services.
