alright. so did your computer suffered a hard restart? coz wubi based linux installation tends to go bad if the computer does not shut down properly in that case, the easy solution is to reinstall. you lose all the data though. this is the reason why i kept all the data files on windows partition and not inside the linux virtual space.
well if windows does not shut down properly, wubi tends to not boot into linux fearing data corruption. in that case a proper scandisk would fix the problem. if linux gets hard booted, it would mess up the installation in most cases. go to windows, scandisk all the drives on the computer. if it asks for restart, let it do so and do the job. and then try booting into wubi linux. i had to shut down xp properly to get back into linux.
