I am on Jio's 150 Mbps plan while others in my society are on 30 Mbps plans.
All members ask me why I need 150 Mbps plan as with 30 Mbps as well they can manage office as well as OTT. I say my office is paying (Rs 1000/month), so I took higher plans, apart from OTT which comes with 150 Mbps plan :D

Although I wonder sometimes whether to go for lower speed plans and take OTT subscription separately.

@rajat_ for mainly browsing and streaming the 50 mbps plan will suffice. Even 200 is overkill.

In my case I like to eke out the most of my plan speed but most likely I'll downgrade to 300 mbps eventually.

@vishalrao i went with 200mbps because my company reimburses me the amount. I know its an overkill, bought it just for my peace of mind because i thought 50 or 100 mbps won't suffice for 4 people simultaneously streaming and browsing. I work from home most of the time and having a higher bandwidth doesn't harm.
As i said i was on the 300 mbps plan initially and then downgraded to 200mbps. Anyways TPF doesn't provide any complimentary OTT subscriptions so there's no point in opting for 300 mbps atleast in my case.

@vishalrao

Thank you.

Someone I know use citrix and he use bsnl fiber and what he gets is over 120ms but he needs it to be less than 100ms continuously.

I think Tata is the best for it but it not available here.

@vishalrao how's the gaming experience with the 1gig connection? Does the ping reduce at such high bandwidth?
Also are you able to get full download speeds while downloading games from steam or epic games?
I get a ping of around 9-12ms on valorant mumbai server and around 60-70ms on singapore server with TPF here in Pune. My friends who use Airtel also get similar ping. Everyone i know uses a 100 or 200 mbps plan, not more than that. So i am curious to know if there is any difference on latency with 1G plan.

@rajat_ I don't do gaming but I can install steam and download a big game and see the speed.

But how to test ping? I doubt gaming will consume additional bandwidth so I doubt ping or latency will degrade but it's just a guess.

@vishalrao can you share some results?
Download some games from steam and epic games

Also maybe a couple of torrents.
