I will be happy if it reaches 60KBps upload speeds, But sadly for the one week for which i am using this plan i have never experienced upload speed more than 20KBps. I am going to try connecting using my friends D-Link modem and see if there is any change in speeds..

Did you complain? Also check what upload speed other BSNL users are getting in your locality. Maybe even they're facing the same problem!

No, i didn't complain. It wont make any difference. I will have to teach them what upload speed is in the first place. Anyway i checked my friend's(near my home) modem connection setting, the upstream speed is 256Kbps for him also. He is on the H500 plus plan. So, i think the upload speed is capped at 256Kbps in the BSNL exchange for my locality.

Can u tell what is the upstream speed given in ur modem settings page and also what modem u are using? i am using UT starcom WA3002-G1 and upstream speed is given as 256Kbps.i tried connecting using D-Link modem and got the same upload speed , so i made the conclusion that the upload speed is limited in exchange.

that confirms that the upstream rate is limited in my connection. Upstream rate is different for different exchanges.

Oh, you mean to say the upstream line rate? Ahh, if it's capped @ 256 kbps, then definitely you'll get only 256 knps. Babus need to change DSLAM settings in your exchange, I guess.

i think i will switch back to 256Kbps UL in a few months. Its a waste when u pay double the amount and get the same upload speed.
