Ut 300r2u Router Hangs

Hello Amigos !!! Merry Christmas to all of you .Since , I have been procuring MTNL Tri-Band services past 10 months it has been flawless and no hiccups with the UT STARCOM router and would appreaciate if I'd get little help from the problem I've been encountering lately . So, lets get to the point .... * I turn on my pc and browse for a while .* In the span of 10-15 mins " Page cannot be displayed " * I take a look at the innocent router .* picture this ... Status light is constant and not blinking * rest of the lights stay constant ...* or sencond scenario is like ADSL light is offIn, brief my router is hung up like a statue ... Therefore , I got the 1st UT STARCOM300R2U router replaced with another one . But , now the 2nd router only hangs up while the router boots up at 0000hrs.when I take a look in Event Viewer , under system tab shows "DCOM got error "The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it. " attempting to start the service usnjsvc with arguments "" in order to run the server:{98AC5C33-EE18-4EC2-BE25-3B16EE8F75F1}"kindly post some solution

I cant say if DCOM query or service is anyhow related to the hung up .

Since you say for 10 months it was flawless and you have substituted another modemCheck in modem Advanced Diagnostics.Check IPconfig.

Wht I have observed in this few days since I put this prob here , now the router gets hung up every 5-10 mins . Niether am I able to access the router page ... the piece of junk is hung up again .

My speculation is tht ,there should be nothing wrong with the router coz I have got it changed jst past few days back from MTNL office . I think there is a prob with line . Will it work if I disconnect the phone line ??? or plzz post some solution to the pertaining prob.

which mode are u using? bridged or pppoe?

members/razor_1987/Welcome to Broadbandforum.inPlease open the router page in IE192.168.1.1/main.html or home.html ID admin password utstar or admin You will get some Advanced options.Check ADSL statistics. and report SNR and Attn figures.(I have to recheck for UT300R2U. could be different).

Ooops !! lil late to inform the folks ...that I happen to get my router replaced from the MTNL exchange :thumbsup:. So , now am using D-Link GLV serie router . It has been functioning flawless since day 1 . UT STARCOM got canned . Appreaciate the assistance from helpers ...

My UTSTARCOMM router is more than 2 years old and is still going strong and steady {touchwood} !!!
