Thanks for the confirmation that my problem is a priority for d2honline. Today I had engineers visit my place. They tested another DTH box to see the performance and identified that my box had problems. They are going replace it with a new Set tomorrow.
I will be very Happy if the issues are resolved fully. But they also informed that the channels will take approximately 5-6 seconds to change. I hope this can be resolved by a software update.

That's nice...to see such a prompt action.
But channel change time at 5-6 seconds MY GOD.......they need to do something abt it. That should be unacceptable to most.

cant u use onscreen EPG to switch channels. (assuming UI of airtel iptv and dth mostly wud be similar)airtel DTH is also slow..takes abt 3 seconds everytime u switch channel. but instead of using channel up button i use "left or right arrow" which brings up EPG at bottom part of screen. then when u reach the channel u want (on EPG) just press OK.ofcourse pressing channel number directly is faster..but this method is useful when u dont know channel number and u dont want to use channel up/down buttons which take up 3 seconds every button press!
Yeah that happens. But somehow that option doesnt strike me easily.We have the options to the extent that u can call upon the channel list on the left of the screen, scroll down to the channel u prefer, and without actually going to that channel, u can see a list of 5-6 upcoming progs (of course it loads further as u move down) and u can either set a reminder for that prog, or set a Record schedule......Or, u can call up the Info bar below, scroll up/down for to change the channel name, scroll left/right to see the programme name, and again here, set Reminder/Record......Although i post this functionality here, i still forget this & when i want to set a reminder, i go to the Menu.....DVR......Set Series Recording and all......and the time has to be set manually over there. SILLY SIILY SILLY ME!!
Today the technicians have replaced the set fully. They are going to evaluate the performance in the HDMI connection and take a call. As of now everything is fine except for the delay while changing the channels. There no flickering and the Audio is also smooth. They have checked it for an hour. Thanks for the prompt response,Rahul
