2G data (without/after pack) used to be 10p/10kb, while 3G was 2p/10kb. I guess they have rationalised the same now that they have stopped intra-circle 3G roaming.

Well. It was Rs. 10,000+ until now right? :)
btw. it's kilobits or kilobytes?
In just 10 days of usage,

Haha this is just to lure gullible new users to try their services. This pathetic rates of 2p/10kb should not even exist. Whenever you are over your data limit, suddenly your main balance starts to diminish. Very EVIL.

There should be an option to either stop data service after completion of usage or to continue using at 2p/10kb. It so often happens that I end up losing out Rs. 40-50 most times as I forget that my data plan is about to end.

and the cheeky ba$t@rdz dont even inform you in time that the data pack has expired. I usually get a message intimating expiry of the pack by midnight or next day and I would have wated a few bucks in vain already.

Data Pack exhausted and customer still using it is like having a blank cheque from customer :playful:
And Vodafone doesn't even informs you when you consumed your minutes pack etc, it was earlier but now they have put the TRAI laws on side(in Hindi "Taak Pe Rakh Diya") and started making extra millions by sucking money from customers account.
A Rs.10 average over-charged by single customer who is not informed about pack exhausting, might be getting few millions every few hours per circle.
Aish hai Telecom Operators Ki

It's the same on Airtel. I actually create a calendar event to remind myself to disable data at 10PM on the last day of the billing cycle. I have lost around 150 bucks over the last couple of months using 3G past midnight.

Same here, till I had Airtel giving 3G(via sharing from other operator) they never let me recharge till the pack was past due date, lapsing all remaining MB's I had.

I have contrasting experiences.
I have a Rs 99 2G- 2GB pack (VL+VMC). I have set my Android's data counter settings to alert me when I'm done with 1.5GB (Reached only once!)
However, VF sends me an SMS on completion of multiples of 200MB that I have used up so much data and if I'm on a 3G pack, its chargeable beyond that. Probably, it thinks I'm on the 99 bucks 3G plan.
