Websites not loading on Reliance Jio Fiber

We have a problem with google servers here,i.e apps on playstore store get stuck on random percentage while downloading, hardly any app completes also some videos on YouTube never play.
The temporary fix i have found is to only use ipv4 mode but than Hotstar, jiocinema and many streaming apps dont work, dont know why

Wow thanks I didn't know about OONI, I have heard about iperf feature for net neutrality/censorship check. I will look into OONI in my time.

Just curious how do OONI fares against iperf and similar other initiatives to measure net neutrality/censorship? ( If others have experience with similar initiative, please contribute your knowledge here)

it's important to understand technically what is happening in each case as there could be a congestion/routing issue etc at the time due to COVID-19
Based on other members input, it does seem that you are right, problem at this moment is more of congestion/routing than whimsical censorhip.

Btw, are you a telecom professional? @swapneelp

Ok, in this specific episode the issue with apps not working was due to a misconfigured DHCP on one of my WiFI APs. The services that worked were using IPv6.

However, the problem with AWS hosted sites and some other sites is genuine and occurs every once in a while and lasts for several hours. I will diagnose with Wireshark when that happens again.

I think the biggest advantage of OONI over any other tool at the moment is the benefit of running tests from a mobile phone. This makes it easy for lay users to detect/determine to a certain extent if there is on-path interference.

Btw, they also have a CLI version if you want to run it as a probe/periodically measure,

OONI probe-cli

To answer your question, somewhat yes 😬

This website, broadbandforum.co has now been blocked for me as well. It is working fine on Airtel and with VPN. Just ridiculous. I might have to dump JioFiber if this continues.
