I have tested around 5 different modems from both MTNL/BSNL over the last month and each modem had different SNR value to show. The lowest was 26db down while the highest was 45db down. I don't think you can interpret your line strength with SNR values since different modems show different values of the same line. Just a FYI.
Look for 'Remote SNR Margin' if present in your Modem UI. It'll remain const. for all/most modems.
What you all are posting here is 'Local SNR Margin' which is = Remote SNR + Modem corrected/boosted SNR. It'll always vary from modem to modem. The same goes for attenuation.
Remote SNR => SNR before entering modem
Local SNR => SNR after processing in modem
SNR Margin (dB): 25.2(Down) 27.9(Up)Attenuation (dB): 39.0(Down) 21.0(Up)Any suggestions, quiet unusual when compared to others. Speeds are OK. i get 3 to 3.2 Mbps in the 4Mbps plan
