I have a BSNL DSL connection. Of late, I've noticed that I cannot connect to wifi on my mobile. It detects the connection but just stays there at connecting. And then it says saved. No such issues on my laptop. Or when connected using the LAN cable. I tried resetting the modem to factory settings and then reconfigured it using various instructions from the net. Still no luck. Sometimes, my wife's mobile connects to the internet using the same wifi connection. And once in a blue moon, when she's not connected, even I am able to connect. She's using a Micromax A210 and I'm on a OnePlus One. Both Android. I've checked that the MAC address is disabled in the router settings. I tried the various security options from 64 bit to WMA Mixed Mode. However nothing can help me identify the root cause. And my mobile data is getting over very quickly :(

Does anyone know what the issue is? Has anyone faced this issue before?

Help!

What kind of router are you using? Routers do have a limit on number devices that can be connected to it at any given time. But that number should be larger than one :|

For such issues,

1. Configure your modem in PPPoE mode

2. Enable DHCP

At first, try without any encryption ( password ).
