Nevertheless, I still believe we are not seeing any paid plan migration till 2020.

Yes it is probably just a technique to get my friend to get the connection installed.
Btw is jio not giving dual band router anymore? or is the new 2500rs router dual band ?

Guys.Just check latest tweet from jio official handle.it shows live tv working colors hd channel and in video it says why to choose when u can get it all.it clearly means they r bringing IPTV service where we won't need to pay for specific channels as we r doing for dth now....

Did you get a "5ghz + 2.4ghz" router or the router with only 2.4ghz?

2.4ghz only
They said from Head office they got message to take only 2500 and 4500 deposits gets cancelled.

Jio area manager came to my friends house in a neighboring colony. He says migration to paid plans wont happen for another 60 days minimum and that most probably it will get delayed into 2020. Also that new plans will come with much more data and speed after data cap finished will be 15 Mbps and not 1 Mbps. His exact words were 'site pe jhoot likha hai'

At at place they said. Local broadband providers are stopping jio and at some places they are cutting cables.
So they announced these higher plans. But they give offers and change plans in feature like jio telecom.

Prently they are not giving dual bands. They don't have stock, i waited 2 months. But sure they give dual band modems, how can any one access greater than 100 mbps speeds in 2.4ghz

It is jio tv app. Same as Airtel Xstream which is free for higher plans.
Like that it comes under ott apps which is free for higher packages

Yeah, 699 plan doesn't have Jio tv app, only Jio Savnn and Jio Cinema. Even 849 plan has a 3-month subscription which does not make sense unless it's applicable only for annual plans. So my guess is in order to get Jio TV, you need to subscribe at least 1299 ANNUAL plan.
