They brought in a special offer in Pune for FTTH which was much cheaper than regular copper line plans. The only catch is that they don't plan to replace copper with fibre. They plan to extend fibre to only those areas where they don't have service currently. In other words this is likely to come to us by 2030 or so .
Well said. Already BSNL having FTTH which they cannot expand over past 10 years.When i asked for FTTH in chennai city they said its not available in my area. It seems BSNL providing FTTH only in BSNL exchange and 100 meters range. Then i hope BSNL will provide 1gbps only in 2100
