I'll think of switching to ACT broadband, if it starts providing to our area. BTW, ACTian, is there any special deductions/offers if i subscribe for both
TV channels and broadband.
I would like to see more tariff plans for broadband cos i'm not a verymuch BIG internet user when it comes about downloading. Will be nice if above FUP speed is 512kbps.
Hi sorry there are no combo plans currently. If you are not big internet user then no need to worry about post FUP speeds as our FUP is very high.

When will act broadband be available in basavanagudi area? Near south end circle? Can you give me a approximate time estimate please.
Hi, your area will take 3 more months for us to expand.

I was hesitant to take ACT's BB after reading all the pages of reviews, but I took a chance because it seemed they had turned the tide. What a gigantic mistake.
I called their customer service on 7th May to ask for a connection, and an executive called within a few hours eager to drop by and collect the payment/papers. I paid him 3 months advance (for the 75GB pack that came to ~4500/-). he promised an installation by 11th.
- on that day he called with some excuse about technical issues and postponed to the 14th.
- okay. then on the 14th, another excuse (at this point, i'm losing track of what new ones he comes up with).
- we move to the 15th, and now it's the rain. great. "next morning, as soon as it stops raining".
- the next day, he blamed it on his technician who didn't know up ("kya kare boss, woh aaya nahin. humne apne malik ko complain kiya hain") brilliant, you have no control over your own technicians.
- now we're at the 17th, and 10 days after taking my money, there is no sign of any progress. i can only shudder to think of the response should my connection go down.
for as long as there's been BB, i've been with both Airtel and VSNL in Delhi. they might each have their issues, commercially or logistically, but i've been used to excellent customer service for almost the last decade. ACT can market their rates/speeds as much as they want, but they'll not get anywhere with this service model. ultimately, you're all in a consumer game and this is pretty pathetic.

Hi, In normal course we take 7 days commitment to complete the installation (if someone has commited in 3 days it is wrong communication from our people) but there is slight delay due to various reasons hence the delay. will check and revert tomorrow and if possible I will expedite the installation.
