@ACTian,This is the SECOND DAY I am without internet at home, not able to login as I keep getting this message:"Login failed. Check your user name and password and try logging on again. If login fails with the correct username and password, it is possible that you are not permitted to conect from your current location. Contact your service provider to determine whether you are permitted to connect from your current location."The password was reset three times yesterday by customer service, the problem still persists. Now it is impossible to contact your call centre as everyone is busy. Please see that this is issue is rectified and give me a refund for the number of days without connectivity.Regards,Mahesh.

I really dont know how the service is provided for u. At my friend plance(vidharayanapuara) the LCO is now providing ACT TV, and BB is yet to start. So u Better contact ur LCO(kick his ass). As u know, if u contact CC, they will take time to contact LCO, so again time consuming. So I suggest u that u will be knowing LCO office. If if u have problem, first go there n see what reason does he provide.

Firstly don't know who is LCO, as ACT representative contacted me, secondly, I'm getting rid of ACT, enough of them. Now my building has Tata Sky as well, getting TATA SKy connection, he'll with ACT, they need to go down. Thanks for your advice buddy

@ACTian,

This is the SECOND DAY I am without internet at home, not able to login as I keep getting this message:

"Login failed. Check your user name and password and try logging on again. If login fails with the correct username and password, it is possible that you are not permitted to conect from your current location. Contact your service provider to determine whether you are permitted to connect from your current location."

The password was reset three times yesterday by customer service, the problem still persists.

Now it is impossible to contact your call centre as everyone is busy.

Please see that this is issue is rectified and give me a refund for the number of days without connectivity.

Regards,
Mahesh.

Hi Mahesh

I have informed the NOC team to call you on priority & it seems you wanted the support to be available at evening. Our engineer will call you evening to make sure your login is smooth.

Again today my ACT TV is down and call center also not responding. When ever call up ACT helpline number it's disappointing. Would strongly suggest all not to go for ACT TV. it's worst service by any provider.

----------

Agree, there salesman and customer service is pathetic, there is no escalation process. Guys beware , never go for ACT.

Hi, If you have problem on our TV services then send your complaints by email if unable to reach our CC.

@ACTian: Thanks for your support, I had posted my message this morning before I was contacted by you. Mr.Murali said there was a 'sync issue' in the network which was the reason for me not being able to login. Will check this evening and try again.I hope the network team prevents such issues from arising in the future, I found it impossible to contact your call centre. Thanks and regards,Mahesh

When will act broadband be available in basavanagudi area? Near south end circle? Can you give me a approximate time estimate please.

I'll think of switching to ACT broadband, if it starts providing to our area. BTW, ACTian, is there any special deductions/offers if i subscribe for both TV channels and broadband.
I would like to see more tariff plans for broadband cos i'm not a verymuch BIG internet user when it comes about downloading. Will be nice if above FUP speed is 512kbps.

I was hesitant to take ACT's BB after reading all the pages of reviews, but I took a chance because it seemed they had turned the tide. What a gigantic mistake.I called their customer service on 7th May to ask for a connection, and an executive called within a few hours eager to drop by and collect the payment/papers. I paid him 3 months advance (for the 75GB pack that came to ~4500/-). he promised an installation by 11th. - on that day he called with some excuse about technical issues and postponed to the 14th. - okay. then on the 14th, another excuse (at this point, i'm losing track of what new ones he comes up with). - we move to the 15th, and now it's the rain. great. "next morning, as soon as it stops raining". - the next day, he blamed it on his technician who didn't know up ("kya kare boss, woh aaya nahin. humne apne malik ko complain kiya hain") brilliant, you have no control over your own technicians.- now we're at the 17th, and 10 days after taking my money, there is no sign of any progress. i can only shudder to think of the response should my connection go down.for as long as there's been BB, i've been with both Airtel and VSNL in Delhi. they might each have their issues, commercially or logistically, but i've been used to excellent customer service for almost the last decade. ACT can market their rates/speeds as much as they want, but they'll not get anywhere with this service model. ultimately, you're all in a consumer game and this is pretty pathetic.ticket# 1476032a/c # 170467

Hi sorry there are no combo plans currently. If you are not big internet user then no need to worry about post FUP speeds as our FUP is very high.

Hi, In normal course we take 7 days commitment to complete the installation (if someone has commited in 3 days it is wrong communication from our people) but there is slight delay due to various reasons hence the delay. will check and revert tomorrow and if possible I will expedite the installation.

Then you need to improve your communications. If you could inform the customer his expected date of installation, then I wouldn't have to waste time following up every day with multiple people. Trust me, no one likes to nag. Expectation setting is very important.

That 18th is the date of installation is the first time I've heard this from anyone associated with ACT (and that too it had to be this forum). I will come back on the 19th and update the status.

Hi ACTian, Can you please provide the update on Girinagar, Hosakerahalli and surrounding areas? I could not see any reply to this question which was asked a few days ago by some other user who resides in the same area. Thanks
