Airtel thanks app showing balance as 0 rs and validity as 0 days. When I do plan change it shows 499 plan for 1 month and asking me to pay 499+gst

Yes you can change it right now but you'll be charged Rs 1000 in lieu of the installation charge. However, if you change it post 30 days from your activation date, you'll avoid that 1000 charge.
