Rockyin the update from 3.00L to 3.04L has certainly reduced timeouts in some cases.
But yes it doesn't have 100% success rate.
Also certain features are added after the update.
Some have also experienced better compatibility with their wireless routers.
So it up to the in individual to try it, or skip it.

mac i have 3.06L firmware maybe comparing 3.00L with 3.06L might be some improvements but not by connection vise.

3.06L is a different board altogether, and your problems are line based not modem based.
