Broadband Speed Test

yeah, that meter is crazy. Instead speedtest will be reliable on most of occassions.

That meter is bullshit. I don't understand why people are still using it! :S
exactly,
now coming to this forum I've started realising it....

BSNL Speed test is a fake

just ping your LAN from POP (please refer TRAI Circular on bechmarking for "Quality of Service of Broadband Service Regulations 2006 11 of 2006")

Do this step.

ping 192.168.1.1 -t

this speed is from your Network to POP say TTL=64 or TTL=128
then your download speed is 64/2 = 32 KB/ps or 128/2 = 64 KB/ps

Test it. stay happy.

No one else can inform you better, else DUKE....

whenever I check my connection speed, it's around 39.3 kbps (means 4.9 KBps download rate)
I dont know how this meter works but I am sure that it has problems. :wall:
I have 500 plan and technically I should get a bb speed of 256 to 2000 kbps.
When I run the test my torrent downloading speed shows 60-70 KBps so there must be something wrong in dataone bandwidth meter...

You must know that the meter downloads a file in your PC and calculates the speed on the basis of time taken.
So if you have any active downloads at that time you won't get proper results!!!!!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:
