@nishant28444 that's why. But it shows their LCO system is capable of up to 500 Mbps. Not sure why Airtel never had 500 Mbps plan from the beginning.

Any reason for that @Lolita_Magnum ?

I've read somewhere on this forum a long time ago someone was saying "carrying anything above 400 Mbps requires the same (something I forgot) as 1 Gbps. Is this true?

500INR is not enough for a company to be profitable, that's why even in wireless sectors telcos are pushing for prices.
I remember, paying 1200+taxes INR pm for MTNL 2Mbps 10GB FUP 512Kbps.

LCOs are capable of a lot of speeds, the real tests start when multiple customers are pinning their speeds to the limit. If airtel starts pushing such higher plans, they'd probably need to increase their fiber count and DC infra.

The reason for 1Gbps in metro cities is due to their shorter distance and already well-placed infra.

bruh, the local and remote IP is needed, baki sab ka to wese bhi kaam nahi hai.
Hide the last octet of your IP address if you are worried about doxxing.

@havoc AT&T 1G costs about 80USD ie about 6250, so considering Indian Inflation and GDP, a price of about 3000-3500 is okay.

For me personally 2999₹ for 1 Gig looks promising. I'm waiting for any ISP to provide Gig plans under 3k so I can jump right in. I can try 1 Gig for few months but I don't wanna use it now and later downgrade just to realise I can't go back to slower speeds due to impatience.

I asked @tatyasky for any promotional offer or Janmashtami offer where I can get TPF 1 Gig plan at a steal deal but he seems to enjoy his offer & plan alone rather than sharing
