BSNL Broadband is now offering 1mbps as minimum post FUP speeds

For me pre FUP GB volume increased (as per FUP page) but speed is still 2mbps. Waiting for 4mbps.

I got an " invalid network configuration" error when tried to check my broadband usage using IP address: 172.30.83.14. Anyone got this error

Today, my upload rate is only max 553 kbps according to my router and it used to be 1024 kbps. I'm on 8mbps plan and the 4mbps plan used to be 1024 kbps max upload speed too.

I dont see any plan update on BSNL site and neither i got any new speed on my net.I am using 1445 plan 2 mbps 20 gb after than 1 mbps.

I called BSNL customer care (in Kerala) and customer care executive informed me that BSNL Broadband doubled the FUP speeds to 1 Mbps for all Broadband plans. Yesterday, One of the major news paper in Kerala displayed an advertisement about BSNL Broadband's new FUP speed.
Unfortunately I'm getting only 800 kbps speed even before FUP instead of 2Mbps speed. I registered a complaint via customer care executive and she informed me that the technician will check the speed and rectify the faults.

I am still using Jio and so, would probably not use BSNL much this month too.. I am nowadays on the 675 ULD plan as backup and it is showing 1.94 GB left when I point to http://172.30.83.14. So, and when I clicked on the top up, it is showing

http://172.30.83.14/bsnlfup/top_up.php?service=HS-I-H-2MB-2GB-1MB-M&timeMetered=false

In the URL. So, it seems the post-FUP speed has indeed been increased to 1 Mbps though I would know only when I exhaust the 2GB FUP in a few days.. and the FUP for the 675 plan has been doubled to 2GB it seems.. it seems this plan has suddenly become one of the best value for money plans although I downgraded to it only by coincidence due to the terrible lines and Jio :)

I was planning to shift to railwire in a few months as it has come to Guwahati though not in my locality yet. But this post-FUP decision itself has changed my mind for now. Unless their lines turn terrible again and there is no internet or dead phones or terrible lines, I would probably stick with BSNL again after these 8+ years.. the lines are still bad and DSL restarting every few minutes even in good sunshine and no rains today .. but if it somehow gets a bit fixed, I would definitely like to keep with BSNL for the post-FUP speeds at least.

I'm interested in downgrading to 4mbps 80 GB plan that has 2mb post fup but 4mbps is not enough to view 1080P videos on Youtube.
