Hi i just got a type II wifi connection from bsnl . I have a utstarcom WA3002G4 router. The wifi is enabled. even the mode is PPPoE. I dont know how to enable DCHP although it looks like it is in DCHP mode only.

I have a ipod touch it detects the wifi but i am not able to surf. Also what are the dns settings(if any).

See this link for more details.

In your computer your wireless Network
should appear as secured or unsecured.
use the same security key.

para two:
DHCP is enabled in the modem ( see LAN page)
.
Post ipconfig /all data
start run type cmd Ok
new window
type
ipconfig /all

you dont seem to be in pppoe mode cause your ipconfig output shows that you are using a dialer to connect to the internet , in pppoe mode you DO NOT use a dialer to connect to the internet , the internet works as soon as you SWITCH ON YOUR MODEM

see the link given earlier.
both can be done in the modem /router.

Do not edit IP address etc , when you post it here.
Nothing secret about it.

What hell was 16.25.12.16

when did IETF assigned 16.25 block as private range :hysterical: :hysterical:

i don;t what do u think .....................

but when u try to connect to INTERNET from lan u should get some ip of internal Range like 10.0.0.0 or 172.16.0.0 or 192.168.1.1

i saw that there was a Button down there Renew Lease ......... try it once .................

but this shows me that it was u are using Dial-up PPPOe for to connect to internet .................................. if i am not wrong ...................

then from that image i can tell u that

set the ip address as 192.168.1.11 mask 255.255.255.0 default gateway 192.168.1.1

that should do the work ................... :wewin: :wewin: :wewin:
