It's a govt. Organization so obviously can't expect an Airtel level service. I am satisfied with dere cc till now. Try dealing with Photon people who r d biggest dumbasses in cc.

Always make complaint on pgportal, I just made complaint on pgportal and head technician came to my home fixed the issue and than he requires my signature on paper which says issue is solved and got phone call for verification that issue is really solved.

yup. you get calls from senior people in your local exchange. they are literally frightened of such complaints.

i made 4-5 trips to bsnl exchange to get the refund from my closed bsnl connection. exchange people would send me from one office to another. people would not pick up the phone and all kind of nonsense.

i made a complaint through pgportal. 2 days later i get an apologetic call from the local sdo or something. a week later the cheque was in my hands.

Unless you know the local BSNL exchange people, BSNL has definitely got huge CC problems. And remember one thing. It is a sarkari company. So, the "monetary gift" factor which work everywhere for speeding up your sarkari work also works here in case of BSNL. Without the complimentary gift from your end every time the lineman fixes your line, it would take ages for your lines to be fixed. I calculate and add up Rs. 200-300 every month to the BSNL broadband bill for the "monetary gift for lineman" factor.

However, their normal CC is load of shit although I have not tried pgportal. Their guys at their 1500 and 198 phone numbers literally disconnect the call after making you wait. And this keeps on repeating. I am also seriously pissed off with their new complaint booking system today. My phone is dead since afternoon but showing false ring which is not uncommon in BSNL. And when I tried to book a complaint in their IVR today (perhaps in their new Digital India platform) through the 1500 and 198 numbers, the IVR was not accepting the complaint and an automated voice message appeared at the end "no faults exists against this telephone number". That is a load of shit and I tried like 10 times and it seems there are some weird automated faulty bots setup now which rings the phone (even if it is false ring) and does not accept complaint if the phone rings. I hope that this is fixed. A customer and a line technician would know if the line is faulty than some random bots. At least accept the complaints man. And they need to fire those CC guys (whom I tried finally after IVR was not accepting) who does not attend the calls and just hangs up the line.

^^ Actually aprat from Airtel ,BSNL has best cc in my area atleast. I have had just 3 downtimes and two of them were for 5 minutes . You just have to complaint only through selfcare portal and the max time they take is 12 working hours. Thats not bad but again it depends from Area to Area. But in Faridabad they have excellent CC in my opinion. Not as good as airtel but they come a close second.
