Credit Card company take back the money I believe. It's quite common in USA I believe. Hence the popularity. People are generally not afraid of using their cards as a result.

I think icici bank takes complaint if there is a problem in any purchase and enquire the issue and if our case is genuine they give back the money in cc account?

Should be the case with all bank

Well all bank with credit card do it, while debit card it is hard but for netbanking its impossible because you kind of transferred the amount into merchant account. Citibank is only one i have tried, download pdf from site print it fill it and send scan (i took pic from mobile). The refund is issued instantly as they await response from merchant, however if case is not on your side then they debit additional 100rs.
My friend experience with standard chartered was very awful they wont refund untill case is resolved.
So i find citi pro customer.
