Those threads where I still get notifications don't appear in the aforementioned link.

I somewhat understood where the bug exists or how the issue can be reproduced.

I watch for "new threads" in the following forums...

When someone creates a new thread, it comes under my watch list automatically. When I tried to unwatch that newly created thread (after sometime), it is removed from https://broadband.forum/watched/threads , but I continue to get notification (just alerts, not email notifications; I disabled emails notifications site-wide).

I have an account with another Xenforo based site / forum. I will see if I can reproduce this issue there. It will take a few days to reproduce, the other forum isn't as active as this.

Check setting for watched forum if it's not enabled for messages.

Send notifications for
New threads
New messages
Don't send notifications

This might be disconnected with unwatching individual threads.

Basically I have no addon that could modify this behaviour so it should be working as designed.

I checked. I have choosen "New Threads". It was probably my mistake. I use Chrome on a mobile where the notifications are sent. I should've probably chosen "Don't send notifications". Modified the option now.

in short, i can only look into issues i can replicate at my end on chrome. or at best firefox. i don't like brave and i am not going to install it to see if i can reproduce this issue on it.

and yes. sometimes i also see the logged out page while logged in. probably because of cloudflare caching messing up temporarily. though i think this is connected to a feature called Automatic Signed Exchanges.

It's a cache issue and happens on my end quite often. Mostly when I am on my mobile. Refresh fixes it.

Two questions

  1. Can I tag people in a ongoing discussion if the person I am tagging doesn’t have any problem?
  2. And if I can’t then can I at least write the name in the thread Thanks for reinstating me .

when you tag three moderators in the thread about forum's feedback thread which is obviously going to be read by at least one of the mods. it becomes a problem. when you tag people who are already in thread while not specifically responding to them, it becomes a problem. when you tag multiple people on a new thread expecting them to come to your thread on priority to respond to you, it becomes a problem. this is not a company support forum. no one here is entitled to get an answer from anyone. let alone on priority. it's a courtesy. do not abuse it by tagging multiple people repeatedly. tagging is generally fine if you are responding to someone specifically in an ongoing thread. tagging is also generally acceptable if you have a query that you know is related to the tagged person. tagging multiple people who are known to be in networking field but might not have any clue about your query in a thread about networking seems abusive in nature. most active people here would generally go through most threads at least threads that have a clear and to the point thread title.

Not sure why I was notified of this. Is this a new feature?
