guests do not have any read history so they would see latest threads instead of unread ones.

xenforo is getting an update in near future. so this forum would probably end up with the default theme which is blue adaptable to dark mode either manually or based on system settings. some existing functionality powered by third party code might not make it to next update. i might install a beta build in coming days which means there is a possibility of reverting back to an old build losing all content posted before the update if there are any major issues with the beta build. basically things might behave weird in coming weeks. the server i moved to is also behaving erratically so that's not helping.

and of course, for the time being you can change the theme from bottom bar. if you prefer the b&w theme or amoled.

Server seems to have stabilized. Performance for a change is better on Airtel than Excitel at my end which is kind of annoying. Not sure if there are any improvements for Jio users. Cloudflare still routes it through SIN for me which is a mess. I mean it's not great as it is no longer hosted in India and Cloudflare routing does not help much. But at least I have a lot more resources this time around so that helps.

reddit post links not working as embeds? earlier I think it was working.

reddit embeds with videos had autoplay enabled. no option to disable it on embeds. i think even sound was enabled so had to disable it.

sound is not enabled. but video is. so it's not really nice to have it activated.

XF2.3B4 is expected to drop tomorrow. I am very tempted to install it here despite the many issues and a lot of addons not going to work on it. I might roll back if it becomes a headache to deal with. Which would mean some content would be lost. Just posting here as a pre-warning of sorts.

The site is still alive, so I guess the update was fine.

I do see some cosmetic changes and some embedded posts breaking.

There is also a big panel box posting a reply.

lol browser notifications are broken for me. they send me to homepage instead of the actual post. and i can't think of anything to fix them lol.

Notifications worked for me. Webpage loading has gotten a bit smoother as well.
