I think, on the smiles department, there should be more quality smilies rather than the huge quantity of them, which just makes things more confusing.
Also, one should get a notification on that bell in the top right corner, when someone replies to a thread that he/she had posted in. It makes it a lot easier to keep a track of the replies that you got.
Just some constructive feedback :)
Lastly, it would be good if something would display the total no of likes a person got under the 'city:xyz' line.

I would reset the smilies with IPB4. It is a major update so would start with scratch.
As for the notification bell, I think you can configure it to show you the relevant updates. Not sure.
Number of likes etc... I am relying on existing software and addons. I do not code anything myself so custom features are hard to get.

In any case, I am not looking to make major changes here till the launch of IPB4 which god knows would come out when.

I am currently using IP.Board 3.x version. IP.Board 4 would be a major update. It was supposed to come out last year but got delayed.
On Nexus 7, I suggest using the app Tapatalk. It is a free download.

That app is sheet on nexus. Lags and crashes like hell, nor does it have a option to come back to the main screen of the app. It just isn't the full blown forums experience.
