Didn't work.
Also the emojis can't be posted from Tapatalk, mobile theme and web as well. Seems the issue is at this end.

Man. I wonder what is breaking this functionality. I did remove most of the third party plugins few days back.

Also tested after disabling all hooks (plugins in ipb lingo). Did not fix the issue.

I do not really understand character encoding stuff. Might need to do some kind of data conversion again.

What a freaking mess. IPS people asked forum owners to convert their database to UTF8 to prepare for the release of IPB4. They did not realize that UTF8 on its own does not support Emoji like entities. So they are now recommending conversion to UTF8MB4 something that supports emoji and other entities. They just asked me to revert back to the database before the conversion. Freaks.

IPS gave a really lame response to the query few hours ago. I have decided to dump IPB for good and look at the possibility of conversion to XenForo.

Going to be extra careful this time around. Did not take proper care during vB to IPB because I was not even planning to migrate at all. Converter and redirection scripts are all official out of beta and supported by XenForo. Let's see.
