lol. sometimes i think about using the server for VPN because data centers appear to have unrestricted access to the internet. but i avoid it because i would end up hitting some illegal web service

It's a dedicated. I am already running BT Sync. VPN should be no different as long as I am not using it for illegal activities

Or maybe not. I have not checked. They have not restricted anything on the server yet. I end up doing things that they do not usually recommend on managed (I have access to root for example).

Well proxies are banned on almost 99.9% hosts. I see no reason why a VPN would be allowed.
