MTNL Mumbai First time: MTNL Throttling torrents to 1 Mbps

I purposely tested torrent speed at 7 am and it was maxing 950 kBPs (8 Mbps)

It's almost 9 am and throttling has already started. My speed has been halved from 480 kBps (4 Mbps).

maybe they are throttling it during the daytime because of the cable problems that are causing problems on reliance and other isps? :speechless:

Throttling is ok if there is cable fault.

But my speed reduced from 1mbps to 100kbps... 10 times????

Mine cant even be measured but DU meter shows approx 50-100kbps. I cannot login into any bank site or trade on the stock market. What a bummer.

Now it's 11 am and same torrent is not going above 128 kBps (1 Mbps)

Over the years I had also noticed that when there is a lot of activity on the stock market (up or down) the speed would drop but now its unbearable as I cant do ANYTHING USEFUL

182.56 here. torrents seem ok but speedtest to US servers barely goes beyond 3mbps

Maybe they are testing it on this 120.62.XX.XX IP range first.

They might gradually roll it out to other ranges.
