Ok....I think india's 80 percent ppl watch the new movie on pirtaed dvds at only 20 rs. With 3 other films. And i think all the dvd is coming in market at next day of realese. So piracy point is false. Coz i mentioned that new movie should be telecast in 1 month. I think bollywood gets a new market by this. There r 5.5 million dth con. In the india if only five percent will order movie, means 2.5 lakh ppl * 200 = 5 crores.
avrage bollywood movies
business is 15 to 20 crore. So they will get 5 crore 4m this after 1 month is not a bad business. Remember i mentioned only 5% order it could be more than that if movies will be high profile. And about package low prizing i mentioned that all fta and service charge should be 100 rs. So they will not in loss. It means that evr dth coustmer pay them min 100 per month without any pay ch. Read it.
Okay listen,
most movies only very bad camera prints come out on pirated DVD.
If you do not believe me go and buy a DVD (pirated) of most Hindi movies and play it, its in bad camera print.
Only some movies get DVD quality pirated prints if luckily they get stolen from the producer/director personally or hacked into the production house (such as Yash Raj offices), so most of the times you never get DVD quality pirated rip until the actual original DVD is out, if you start showing DVD quality of new films on DTH within a month, the pirates are just gonna record on a DVD and sell it in the market. The quality will be superior to any Camera print available in the market.
For example take the following scenario:
Om Shanti Om realeases in Cinemas on Nov 25.
Its a huge hit, cinema's 80-90% full during first 2 weeks.
PPl who cannot go to cinema, buy Pirated Camera Print DVD from market for 100RS.
Tata Sky shows it in Dec end.
Pirates record the film from TS to DVD in DVD quality.
the DVD is sold like anything by Janurary.
Original DVD releases in March-April.
No1 needs to wait until the original DVD is out they already have the DVD print from
Tata Sky.
Will the producers like this?
They make a small % of their incomes through DVD's but its still a considerable amount.
SO YOU CANNOT JUST SAY THAT THE PIRACY POINT IS OUT OF QUESTION.MY FRIEND SINCE YOU ARE CONSUMER YOU DON'T REALLY CARE ABOUT THE EFFECT OF PIRACY SINCE IT RARELY EFFECTS YOU BUT THE PRODUCERS AND STAKEHOLDERS OF FILMS KNOW IT.
About the 100RS service charge.
They are already getting a minimum 200RS from each consumer why would they want to decrease it to 100RS and you cannot just claim that this will be profitable, you are just guessing and assuming, if you were to create a business model to investigate these package options Im sure you'll see the dark side (TS's side)
